For as long as I can remember, I have loved being creative. When I was younger, I relished a new box of crayons and a bright set of markers. It was my family’s fully stocked “art closet” that kept me busy most days.

As the years have gone by, I find myself longing for those creative days once again and became determined to revive that childhood enthusiasm.

A self-taught artist, I find that it is the process of creating that truly sustains me. My work is layered with acrylics, colored pencils, oil pastels and other media. There is a push and pull with the color and balance until the final piece surfaces. I have recently fallen in love with mixed media abstract art, where I feel I can enjoy the freedom to create loosely, not worrying too much about the end result.

My work is colorful with a hint of whimsy, influenced by experiences and memories from my life. I aim to provide a sense of peace – a soft landing place – with each piece that is created. My goal is for more people to experience original art through approachable abstract paintings that spark joy for the viewer.

I am thankful for the support and inspiration from my husband, Chris, and our sons, Graham and Miles.
